Full member
You work, or want to work, in a field related to intellectual property and you are 35 or under. You can vote and stand for election.
Fee set by the General Meeting to be set
Student
You are enrolled in a course relevant to IP. Same rights, except standing for president of a governing body.
Reduced fee to be set
Institutional
Public or private organisations that support YIPP's aims. They appoint a representative.
As set by the General Meeting to be set
Honorary
People or organisations recognised by the General Meeting, on the Board's proposal, for their services to IP.

Frequently asked questions
I am 35. Can I join?
Yes. Founding and student members can be up to 35 years old.
What happens when I turn 36?
Your membership ends at the close of the calendar year in which you turn 36. Before then, you can ask the Board to become an honorary member, subject to approval by the General Meeting. If you hold office, you complete your term.
Can students stand for election?
Yes, for any position except President of the Board, Chair of the General Meeting and Chair of the Audit Board.
Is YIPP linked to any law firm?
No. The statutes guarantee YIPP's independence from the State, political parties, trade unions, religious organisations and any law firm or legal services provider.
